It’s no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Kelis
.. She is the originator of that “Let’s be edgy/different” movement. Her flyness, and influence on other R&B divas cannot be denied. You know…that trend that you thought Rihanna started. With the black and neon color, the tights, the shaving of the head…yea that was Kelis.
Now I personally feel as if Kelis always gets the short end of the stick whether it’s CD sales or just all around recognition, she never got to the level of fame that I felt she deserved (Rih/Bey status). This is why when I heard that she was receiving $55,000 a month for support for Nas jr. I thought to myself…Finally…Kelis Wins.
